A choir sings the Te Deum,
Then we have an energetic opening act with various people including a winged horseman. Lots of dancing , stage full of dancers in blue and red. Then the winged horsman introduces the presenters. They give each other a red apple and then explain the voting procedure
ICELAND first. I hope he shaves for the actual semi, he looks a bit rough!His vocals were a bit ropey, this is not their best vocal performance. Camera work very shaky, Thought this would be better. Good reaction.
Now SWEDEN. Better vocal than Iceland . Wind machine working. , Backing vocals ok though a few bum notes from them. , Camera shots fine here , Lasers for last part of song. Good reaction. Difficult to judge with hall not very full.
TURKEY. Ottoman figures on Backdrop. This is having the strongest impact on screen so far. His vocal is slightly off though but it's ok. rememeber no on ehas rehearsed for this semi since Sunday. Lots of shots of lead singer , black jacket. If Finland can qualify in semi 1, even with lots of friends in semi 2, Turkey have a good chance to qualify here. Some pyrotechnics. Very good reaction
UKRAINE next. Dancers in the box, Silver Dress though it looks slightly different., Great vocals. Dancers in Black . VERY LONG earrings! One of the dancers does a somersault to give her time to get to the top of the box. Best reaction so far. This is a definite Qualifier.
LITHUANIA next. White Shirt, Black leather trousers, Vocal ok, Good camera work with the moon in the backdrop. Song just not going anywhere especially after Shady Lady just before it. Still gets a good reaction
onto ALBANIA. She is dressed in a black bolero style embroidered jacket. and black trousers. Excellent vocal. Colourful heart on the backdrop. Good camera closeups and wide shots for this one. Heart expands on the backdrop as the song progresses. Excellent reaction though I thought I heard a boo.
Now a commercial break . We now have the 'Welcome to Belgrade ' video presented by Ana Ivanovic that was not used in semi 1.
Presenters back again in new outfits. A bit shaky here.
SWITZERLAND on now. Paulo in black, Vocals are good for the slow part followed by pyrotechnics to start the faster part of the song. Song builds very well and good camera shots. His best performance yet. Great reaction in the hall
Tereza for CZECH REPUBLIC now. The backing track sounds very strange. Not sure if its a different one but its not a good sounding one. LOTS of pyrotehnics here. Her vocal is good but she has been better., and it gets weaker as the song progresses. Silver dress. Good camera work but disappointing for Czech Republic for me .
BELARUS next. He is definitely out of key. dreadful vocal. Coloured balls on stage. Dancers in gold dressed. Ruslan in black shirt, waitcoat and leather trousers. Looks excellent visually, but he has to sing in key or it will sound awful! Very muted reaction to this one.

Мне кажется, что лазера с такой работой камеры у Швеции не будет видно...
Камера ужасно рабоатет, как открывали книгу Каломиры я так и не увидел.. =/

It's the pirates now for LATVIA. Water backdrop. Another bad vocal though, though ithas been worse in other rehearsals and it improves as the song pregresses. Lots of good camera shots and in the end, this is a decent performance for Latvia. Its the type of song that does not need to have perfect vocals. An ok reaction though.
Presenters back on again, more new outfits to show the voting numbers and introduce the last nine semifinalists.

CROATIA next. Dancer on pedastal in red. Seagulls on backdrop. Excellent vocal. group on black and wine. Lots of camera work on the dancer. Good reaction.

Now BULGARIA. Dancers in sleeveless shirts with '12' on front. Good pyrotechnics. Vocals are good. Stage VERY red. Moulin Rouge style dress. A few shaky camera shots though. It gets a good reaction in the hall, more sustained than most so far.

Я тоже не увидел, как открывали книгу кстати. Вполне возможно, что и у Швеции лазер не увидим, если со светом переборщат, но по-моему там главный эффект в водопадах в первом припеве, по крайней мере меня именно это больше впечатлило.

DENMARK next. Very blue stage. lots of interaction with theband. Simon in white shirt, grey trousers and braces. Lots of walking around the stage. Excellent vocals. Comes across very well on screen. this is good for Denmark. Another good reaction, but so difficult to judge reactions with a very empty arena.

Diana for Georgia next. 2 male dancers start off on revolving roacks. Everyone in Black, Diana in a black and silver leather oufit. Good vocals . then we have the white sheet and all the costumes change from black to white. The best reaction in the arena so far.

HUNGARY next. Candles in backdrop. Candles on stage. Excellent camera shots and excellent vocals. Great harmonies in the backing vocals. This loks and sounds really good. on this performance, this is a qualifier. ok reaction in the hall.

Я тоже не увидел, как открывали книгу кстати. Вполне возможно, что и у Швеции лазер не увидим, если со светом переборщат, но по-моему там главный эффект в водопадах в первом припеве, по крайней мере меня именно это больше впечатлило.
может мы и не должны были видетЬ? =/
